About The Diamond Event

Funds raised at The Diamond Event 2018 will support the Fellowships Program which is crucial to the development and success of children’s medical care.

Fellows provide expert care for patients, whilst also increasing their skills in a specialised field. This helps them improve diagnostic methods for children, increase cure rates, reduce side effects of treatments and improve long-term outcomes. It is not only today’s patients who will benefit from the Fellowship Program but future generations of children around the world.

For the past eight years, The Diamond Event has raised over $2.6 million for the areas of greatest or unique need in the Hospital.

How you can help

There are a number of ways for those attending, and those who are unable to attend, can support the efforts of The Diamond Event.

Raffles: During The Diamond Event you will have the opportunity to win a range of prizes. 

Live Auction: The auctioneer will accept your live bids on a number of priceless experiences. 

Silent Auction: Bidding will open before The Diamond Event on our silent auction, which will include some incredible auction items.

Live Pledges: Help support the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation with your cash pledges conducted on the night. Your pledge will be recognised within the Hospital.

Donate: If you are unable to attend the event or would prefer to give your support privately, you can donate now or at any time leading up to the event.

Painting by Australian artist Jason Benjamin

Jason Benjamin was born in Melbourne in 1971 and had a fairly peripatetic childhood. Moving from Sydney to the USA to Mexico and returning to Sydney for high school. At 16 he applied and received a scholarship that took him to New York, first to The Stony Brook School to complete a diploma and from there to Pratt Institute located in Brooklyn to focus solely on Art.

From his first group show in downtown Manhattan in 1989 and into 2016 he has had over 40 solo shows in Australia, Tokyo, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Rome.
