The haircut happened today! It’s a huge change but a lot lighter and much more comfortable in this heat.I'm raising funds for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation!
A year and a half ago I decided to grow my hair to donate to the Cancer Council Ponytail Project.
In June 2023 my son Lucas suffered very rare and extreme complications from Influenza B. It was a trying time. Lucas was in ICU for 6 weeks and a further 12 weeks in hospital working on his rehabilitation with Rehab2Kids until December.
It’s now time for me to cut my ponytail and in doing so I would love to raise money to support the Intensive Care Unit and Rehab2kids at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick to acknowledge the extraordinary level of care Lucas received throughout his stay as well as the exceptional support offered to achieve his rehabilitation goals.
Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation supports Australia's leading paediatric health services, offering a safe and friendly healing environment for children from NSW and beyond. Every dollar we raise contributes to keeping our hospitals running at a world class, award-winning level.

Lucas you inspired me mate you showed me what a fighting spirit means and it changed my outlook on life. You are my hero and So are you Vince, Annie and Alyssa your strength and love and belief gave me strength. And the doctors and nurses are amazing for how they saved Lucas. Combine a warrior with amazing medical staff and the result is a miracle. They deserve all the funds raised twhat this hospital did for our family will never be forgotten, Thank you.
