On Tuesday 3 December, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) invites you to experience a day of joy, giving, and community spirit right in the heart of Sydney for the annual Giving Day.

This special day marks the peak of SCHF’s Christmas Appeal, where your donation will be doubled until midnight, thanks to the incredible support of our Movement of Many and DOOLEYS, who are matching every dollar up to $80,000.

This means your gift will go twice as far in providing the life-saving care, essential medical equipment, and groundbreaking research to help kids who can be cured and those that want a fighting chance. Your support could be the difference that brings a child closer to recovery, fills their holiday with hope, and fuels their future. Join us for our Giving Day and make an impact that will last beyond the season.

What’s happening at Martin Place

From 8am to 4pm, Martin Place between Pitt and Castlereagh Streets will transform into a vibrant Giving Day hub with something for everyone! Here’s a sneak peek at the six Giving Day activities you won't want to miss:

  • Butterboy Cookies: Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Butterboy cookie stall, where $1 from every delicious cookie goes straight to SCHF. It’s a tasty way to make a difference!
  • Fujifilm Christmas Photobooth: Capture the holiday spirit with a festive photo! This Christmas-themed photobooth is the perfect opportunity for a keepsake with friends, colleagues or family while supporting SCHF.
  • Chill-Out Zone: Need a break? Relax in our cozy beanbag area and enjoy your cookie while taking a pause from the city hustle.
  • Silent Disco: Put on a pair of headphones and groove along to your favourite tunes at our pop-up silent disco. It’s a unique experience that’s bound to put a smile on your face.
  • Roving Christmas Entertainment: Feel the magic of the season with roving performers bringing holiday cheer to everyone in Martin Place.
  • SCHF Volunteers and Fire & Rescue NSW: Our amazing volunteers will be collecting donations and selling Play for Purpose raffle tickets at Martin Place all day, while Fire & Rescue NSW members will be stationed at Central, Martin Place, Town Hall, and Wynyard train stations collecting donations from 7am to 9am.

The magic of Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation Christmas Appeal Giving Day would not be possible without all these generous partners and donors. We would particularly like to thank our Movement of Many and DOOLEYS for matching donations this Giving Day. Thank you for helping provide the best possible care to all kids, whenever and wherever they need it.

Get involved this Giving Day and make a difference

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick photo, joining the silent disco, or relaxing with a cookie, every interaction, donation, and raffle ticket purchase will go towards supporting Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation. Together, we can fund new medical equipment, essential training, groundbreaking research, and world-class facilities to help change the future for sick kids.

So, if you’re in the city, come down to Martin Place on Tuesday 3 December, and join us in making a difference. With plenty of festive fun for everyone, it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season of giving!
