Kaleidoscope of colour

Guzaliya Xavier

About the Artist

Guzaliya’s Xavier's works take the viewer into a fascinating world of optical illusion. Her painterly effects offer rhythmical repetitions, through dramatic and harmonising colour transitions that allow for multiple readings and interpretations from the audience.

Described as hypnotising, meditative, calming, intriguing, and at times, obsessive, Xavier's paintings unfurl slowly with audiences’ creating meaning by observing patterns and images in the abstracted works.

Guzaliya Xavier is an artist based in Sydney working with acrylics and palette knives. With a strong analytical mind, Xavier organises time, space, information and marks on canvas through creating order. She is a multiple prize-winning artist and has participated in various exhibitions and art fairs over the years. She had been featured widely in the media; highlights include her recent features in Home Design magazine and Selling Houses Australia (season 15). Her work is held in private collections in Australia, USA and UK.
