A collaboration between The Children's Hospital at Westmead and the NSW Department of Education

Operation Art, a collaboration between The Children's Hospital at Westmead and the NSW Department of Education, showcases student visual arts achievements through exhibitions and workshops at Sydney Olympic Park, NSW Art Gallery, and regional galleries. Fifty artworks from the 2022 exhibition are touring NSW, ultimately gifted to the Children’s Hospital.

Project Statement

Operation Art is an initiative of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in association with the New South Wales Department of Education. The program includes exhibitions, workshops and professional learning opportunities in visual arts for teachers and students from all schools in NSW.

Operation Art exhibits the achievements of visual arts students at Sydney Olympic Park, the Art Gallery of NSW and regional galleries. Operation Art also holds student and teacher professional learning workshops across the state.

These 50 artworks were selected from the 2022 exhibition at Sydney Olympic Park Armory Gallery to tour NSW galleries, and will be gifted to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
