EMERGENCE
Randwick Art Society
December 2021 - February 2022

This Exhibition comprises works undertaken by members of the Randwick Art Society (RAS).
The pandemic has brought significant upheaval over the last 18 months and it looks to be ongoing. Exhibitions have been cancelled or limited, gatherings curtailed or postponed, growth and learning has been restricted.
In response RAS and its members have looked for alternative ways to engage in art together. At the same time the focus and subject of works has expanded. Not only is there enjoyment in a landscape which is out of reach for now, but up close and personal aspects of everyday home life are very apparent.
The works gathered here are drawn from all those feelings and experiences. They seek to celebrate our environment, our surroundings, humanity, life. Our faith is in the ability of the human spirit to persevere and emerge from difficulty.

Then and Now
Then and Now is a collection of images taken by the Foundation’s photographer-in-residence, Jimmy Pozarik, revisiting 25 patients he had photographed to find out where they are now.
