Go all in for kids' health this June and celebrate Workplace Giving month

02 May 2022

The end of the financial year is an ideal time to promote Workplace Giving (WPG) within your organisation, as many of us make donations at this time to the causes we care about and enjoy the tax deductions that are available at this time of year.

Providing your employees the opportunity to donate directly from their pay, year-round allows them to make their donations in the most tax-effective and efficient way possible. This type of giving is a small commitment and becomes a large contribution as more employees join. The collective nature of workplace giving adds up and is an integral part of our fight to ensure that all children have access to the care they deserve.

We encourage you to use Workplace Giving Month to:

  • Build awareness of your program and drive staff engagement through internal promotions or a staff morning tea.
  • Celebrate the impact your donations are making in the community through storytelling and regular updates.
  • Match your employee donations for the month of June and commit to doing this for the rest of the year.
  • Encourage your staff to give the equivalent of one takeaway coffee each week.

Endeavour Energy is proud of the Workplace Giving program they have built within their organisation.

Melissa Irwin, General Manager of People, Culture, and Transformation says, "At Endeavor Energy, our purpose is powering communities for a brighter future. Looking after people and caring for our communities is very much a part of our culture and it's what our people do best, every day, as well as during challenging times such as storms, fires, and floods. Our Workplace Giving program provides an avenue for our employees to connect with and support our communities, with donations matched by Endeavor Energy. The Children's Hospital at Westmead is a great fit for our program, providing care when it's needed most, for our families, friends, and the communities we serve, to make their futures brighter."
