800km down 200km to go!!!!

Over the week I cracked the 800km mark of my 1000km run for Frankie.

Sadly this week Frankie has been back in hospital fighting infections while continuing medication but the incredible team at Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) have been supporting her along the way.

Next month I'm taking on my longest run a 80km team event with Matthew Davidson for the Bondi to Manly Ultra followed by a 50km run for UTMB® Group Kosci50 at Mt Kosciuszko.

80% of the way to my 100km target and only just over 10% left to hit our $5,000 donation target.

Whoa, we’re halfway there!!!

Like Bon Jovi said ‘We’re halfway there’ clocking up over 500km so far in support of SCHF and our superstar Frankie!

Each and everyone of us has Frankie in our thoughts and prayers but unlike Mr Jovi we’re living on so much more than prayers. It’s been amazing seeing the community galvanise around Frankie and her family and not even halfway through we’re nearly at our fundraising target.

This is much more than just one fundraiser or one run it’s all about our awesome community! So if you want to set yourself a challenge you can join the fundraiser and create your own page and all funds raised will go to the amazing team supporting our Franks.

Thank you all for your support, I’m off to listen to Bon Jovi on repeat, most likely waving my shirt around my head. Let’s go!!

380km down and 620km to go. 

Saw Frankie this morning and it was awesome to see her usual cheeky self shining through with her mum and her both commenting on my 'very colourful' running shoes. I'll take that as a complement Frankie.

Targeting 500km before end of June. Let's Go!

Hoka Half Marathon DONE

365 days ago I started running, mainly for fitness, off the back of some encouragement from friends. I had never run more than 5km and struggled on each run, doing my best camel impersonation as I struggled for breath. 

365 days on I found myself in the CBD starting my first official half marathon race (HOKA Half Marathon Sydney). Not only did I get to run a PB with some great mates, I also ran for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) and raise funds for the department supporting Frankie.

Running for Frankie

Earlier this year one of our good family friends little 5yr old girl Frankie was diagnosed with leukaemia. Frankie is one of the cheekiest 5 year olds I know so I've set myself a cheeky challenge to raise money to support Oncology at Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (where Frankie is getting treatment).

I only started running a year ago but in 2026 I'll be targeting 1,000kms across the year (280km down so far) with key runs being:

1. Hoka Half Marathon Sydney (21.1km)

2. Bondi to Manly Ultra - Half (40km)

3. Kosci50 - Ultra-Trail Kosciuszko (50km)

The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care service in Australia. Every dollar we raise contributes to keeping our hospitals running at a world class, award-winning level.

That’s why I’ve chosen to raise much needed funds through Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation. Thank you for your support!
