Logan McDonald
AFL star Logan McDonald uplifts sick kids with inspiration and joy, using his platform to help them dream, heal, and thrive.
The Sydney Swans drafted highly touted Logan McDonald with the fourth overall pick in the 2020 AFL Draft, recognising his immense potential as a dynamic key forward. Hailing from Perth Football Club, McDonald turned heads with a breakout season in the WAFL, where he showcased his goal-scoring ability by kicking 21 goals in just nine games—finishing as the club’s leading scorer. His impressive performances proved he could thrive against experienced competition.
After a strong pre-season with the Swans, head coach John Longmire rewarded him with an AFL debut in Round 1 of 2021. McDonald’s career continues to rise, and in 2024, he delivered his most consistent season yet, playing all 26 games and slotting 37 goals for the red and white.
"As an athlete, I take great pride in inspiring young kids to chase their dreams. Partnering with Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation allows me to help bring joy to sick kids facing tough times. If I can lift their spirits, even for a moment, that’s super rewarding."
