I'm raising funds for Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation!
This May, Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month, I am raising much needed funds for The Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.This team of amazing people have been supporting us from the very beginning when Emma was still our tiny baby.
Emma’s team consists of a respiratory specialists, physiotherapists, dieticians, a team of nurses and a pharmacist.
This team relies on fundraising to continue to offer the essential resources and services to the children and young people that they support living with CF.
This year the team needs to raise $250,000 to ensure they can continue to have a psychologist on the team. Whilst Emma is still young and hasn't needed this support just yet, she is growing up and slowly becoming aware that she is different to other kids.
Having a psychologist on the team is so important to help her understand her diagnosis and the burden she carries with her treatments, and the knowledge of living with a life limiting condition.
This May I am hoping to raise $2,500 to ensure our CF psychologist remains a part of our CF family at Westmead.
