Raising awareness and support for Bear Cottage in honour of Lila Diakos

Bangor Football Club Inc have incredibly organised this event to raise money and awareness for Bear Cottage in memory of our beautiful daughter Lila, who devastatingly passed away from cancer in December, at age 3.
Bear Cottage is the only dedicated children’s hospice in NSW and is part of the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. It is a charity that relies heavily on community support and donations. There was 251 admissions to Bear Cottage in 2025 for respite or end of life care. Behind the numbers are real children, real families, and real stories. Lila is one of those children. We are one of those families.
Bring a picnic blanket/chairs and set up for a fun afternoon! The BBQ will be running and the canteen will be open.
All proceeds during the event will be going to Bear Cottage. Entry $5 per participant, paid on the day (cash or card). Entry will be from the car park.

Chloe, George, Mia and Evie, from the moment we learned of Lila and her predicament we have been heartbroken.
