The Movement of Many once again demonstrated its incredible impact as Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation topped the charity leaderboard for the second consecutive year, raising an astounding $498,000.

Over 2,160 Team SCHF fundraisers embarked on a journey of running, jogging, and dancing their way through the 14km stretch from Sydney's CBD to Bondi Beach to help give sick and injured kids the running start they deserve.

The journey was long and the climb up Heartbreak Hill was arduous, but the fire cannons, marching bands and SCHF's very own cheer squad of dedicated volunteers made it all worth it!

This year, our patient ambassador family, 21-month-old Abigail and her mum Adrienne from Team Abigail the Brave, kick started the event's Charity Wave runners and our army of 416 volunteers cheered on our sea of purple while they went all in for kids' health.

The funds raised by Team SCHF at City2Surf will be directed to the frontline of children's healthcare, supporting sick and injured kids across Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, going towards the area of greatest need, like groundbreaking research, clinical excellence or creating positive patient experiences for sick kids.

Next year, City2Surf will return to the streets of Sydney on Sunday 11 August 2024. To join the Team SCHF mailing list and receive important updates about the event, please email Johnny at community@schf.org.au.
