Michael Dalton is a highly experienced CFO and COO with over 25 years experience working across sport, not-for-profit, recruitment, HR consulting, and transport and logistics.
Before joining SCHF, Michael spent 13 years in senior leadership at Cricket NSW, serving as CFO, COO, Acting CEO and Company Secretary. He was instrumental in establishing the Big Bash League’s financial framework, negotiating new funding models with Cricket Australia, and modernising business services. Michael also guided the organisation through COVID-19 with minimal disruption.
He led the development of Cricket Central, a $75m world-class centre of excellence, and played a key role in more than $100 million of community cricket infrastructure projects.
Michael brings his wide knowledge in finance, people & culture, strategy and transformation, commercial negotiations, governance, major projects, technology, facilities and legal to the SCHF Executive Leadership Team. He is a certified practicing accountant and is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors course and the Executive Program at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
Outside of work, Michael volunteers to serve on the Board of The LBW Trust, a not-for-profit focused on levelling the playing field in education, with a focus on establishing and supporting libraries in rural and regional Australia and in supporting transformational education opportunities in cricket-playing nations.
