  • Re-built the business services support functions to a modern, business partnering approach. This included the establishment of People and Culture in 2013, and the first State Government Relations and Infrastructure team.
  • Calmly led the organisation through significant financial and operational hurdles from COVID-19, ensuring minimal financial losses, no staff redundancies, renegotiation of key agreements and the continuation of cricket across all levels of the game.
  • Led the site sourcing, funding, development, and operation of a world-class centre of excellence project, Cricket Central, a $60m centre for elite training and playing, as well as administration and community facilities.
  • Led a key stream of the Australian Cricket One Team Project, which led to the establishment of a National Technology function, resulting in increased governance, lower costs, and a significant cyber security uplift.
  • Successfully led infrastructure development of over $100m in community cricket facilities in 10 years across the State through effective collaboration with stakeholders across Government, community, and Cricket Australia.

Michael brings his wide knowledge in finance, people & culture, strategy and transformation, commercial negotiations, governance, major projects, technology, facilities and legal to the SCHF Executive Leadership Team. He is a certified practicing accountant and is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors course and the Executive Program at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

Outside of work, Michael volunteers to serve on the Board of The LBW Trust, a not-for-profit focussed on levelling the playing field in education, with a focus on establishing and supporting libraries in rural and regional Australia and in supporting transformational education opportunities in cricket-playing nations.
