As the first official Patron of Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation and a former Board member, Professor White has been a guiding force behind the Foundation’s growth and impact. He served as Executive Director of Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick for 16 years and was appointed the inaugural NSW Chief Paediatrician in 2010 - a role he held with distinction until 2016.

Throughout his extraordinary career, as a clinician, academic, researcher and healthcare leader, Professor White has always placed children and their families at the heart of his work. His passion for advancing childhood cancer care, his service on multiple boards in the health and research sectors, and his leadership in fundraising for children’s cancer services reflect his enduring commitment to creating a healthier future for young Australians.

"It has been a privilege to walk alongside the families, clinicians, researchers and supporters who are all part of this incredible community. I have long believed that children should be ‘first and foremost’ in our society and that every child deserves access to the very best care. I am proud to continue championing that vision through Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation."
