Pie of Origin 2022

By Glenorie Bakery

Let's raise funds for The Children's Hospital at Westmead

It’s that time of year again, the state of origin is about to kick off and that means we’re firing up our ovens for the annual pie of origin.

As a small family business, every year we’re grateful for our local community rallying behind this worthy campaign. Over this state of origin season, we’re hoping to show you how the humble Aussie meat pie can make a difference.

On Wednesday when the NSW Blues and Queensland Maroons take to the field in one of the fiercest contests in Australian sport, Glenorie Bakery will be baking up a storm, with $1 from every pie sold being donated directly to the Westmead’s Children’s Hospital.

This will be our 11th year of representing NSW in the Pie of Origin, collectively with our QLD competitor Beefy’s we’ve raised over $230,000 for sick kids.

But this year Glenorie Bakery is aiming high, we’re hoping to raise a whopping $25,000 for clinical care, world-class research and to bring some happiness to sick kids this year, after what’s been a tough couple of years with the pandemic.

So, in 2022 it’s not just state against state and mate against mate – it’s a chance to raise money for two important children’s hospitals through the Pie of Origin, and to make a difference in the lives of many.
