The SCH Foundation is proud to host the next round of new exhibitions at SCH, running from 8 July – 27 September 2010. This rotation includes new work by Walter Di Qual (National Art School), Karina Diaz, Sophie Bray (College of Fine Arts UNSW), Irina Bruckner and ‘Arts For Life’ La Perouse community exhibition (SCH Community Health Centre). This selection features both cutting-edge and delightful work that aims to both inspire staff and patients, and transform the Hospital environment. Free Admission. All art is for sale.
26 Aug, 2010 Amber Affair James Squire Brewhouse, King St Wharf Journey (and drink!) your way across a boutique beer landscape - only the finest beers will be on offer for you to taste and enjoy. Grab your colleagues and friends and head to the James Squire Brewhouse for the best Thursday night drinks you'll have this year - tasting beer, wine, champagne and cheese from over 15 boutique brands. Tasty snacks included and it's all for only $60 per ticket to support Sydney Children's Hospital. The fourth round of exhibitions at Sydney Children’s Hospital includes an innovative in-house show curated by Martha Matthews and Rosannah Garvie, entitled ‘Storytelling’ and showing works from the permanent collection. Other shows opening include work by local artist Belinda Strachan, Lisette Delaney and Jerry Liew (National Art School), Nikki Catalano and fantastic art from the Warlukurlangu Artists’ Aboriginal Corporation. Free Admission. All art is for sale.

1200kms For Kids Charity Bike Ride From Randwick to Brisbane
 
30 dedicated cyclists and their support crew will ride 1,200 kms in five days from Randwick along the east coast of Australia to Brisbane. Their aim: to raise $300,000 for seriously ill children and their families. For more info or to donate, go to www.1200kmsforkids.com
8 Nov, 2010 The Official Launch of “MOVE – Digital Art in Hospitals” project – a new contemporary art pilot for Australian Hospitals established between the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Starlight Foundation and Kaldor Art Projects. Level 1 (Outside the John Beveridge Lecture Theatre), 6pm – 7.30pm (Artworks to be screened in the JB Theatre) The SCHF is delighted to work with Kaldor Art Projects to host this exciting new project. John Kaldor and his team have commissioned new work by some of Australia’s leading contemporary video artists to inspire patients, their families and the SCH staff. Each artwork will be introduced by the National Gallery’s Head of Public Programs, Peter Naumann.
