These are the current exhibitions on display in Sydney Children’s Hospital, showing from 19 April to 8 June 2012 (most artworks are for sale, please contact the Arts Curator for further details).

April in the BigPond Star Café, Level 0 of the Hospital (High Street
entrance).

On LEVEL 0
We are delighted to host a group collection from one of our most established, and prestigious partners, the Friends of the National Art School. Called “From the Vault” this group collection features new and exciting work from leading artists such as Lynne Eastaway,Robbie Flowers, Skye Llewellyn, Linda Bowden, Judy Garb Weiss and Silke Raetz. All artworks are for sale and equally benefit the Hospital and the National Art School.
We are also delighted to host a breathtaking collection of marine photography from the Coral Sea; one of Australia’s most amazing – and threatened – natural wonders. See the ancient and mysterious Nautilus shell, ‘Nemo’ fish hiding in stunning anemones, massive whale sharks gliding through the depths and much more…
On LEVEL 1
“Come walk this land with me” is a stunning collection of landscapes from Susan Severino, another exciting new artist from the College of Fine Arts (UNSW) who have become regular exhibitors and supporters of the Hospital. Sue is a science graduate which gives her “plein air” landscapes a rich and unmistakable truth and integrity.
Sue’s show is accompanied on this level by new work from popular Ukrainian artist Yelena Dyumin, who returns to the Hospital with a new and urbane collection entitled “Dreams and Reality II”.
On LEVEL 2
For the first time the Hospital is pleased to host a selection of children’s art sourced from around NSW. The selection on display comes from the “Operation Art” initiative managed through the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
