Celebrate the Moments that Matter

17 April 2020

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation proudly launches its latest fundraising initiative, Celebrate the Moments that Matter. Connecting supporters with their friends and family, the campaign helps to celebrate those special moments in life, all from the comfort of your home.

Olivia Jary, Marketing and Fundraising Director, shares why it's important to keep celebrating the special moments - no matter how big or small...

"In the last few weeks, we’ve witnessed incredible acts of kindness and shared wonderful stories of humanity. We’re all searching for positives right now, as we work together to protect the most vulnerable members of our community.

If isolation has taught us one thing, it’s the importance of gratitude. This time apart is only temporary and it’s more important than ever to celebrate those special moments together we all cherish. Whether it’s a hug from Grandpa, Sunday family barbeques or an exciting milestone like a 30th birthday, every moment big and small deserves to be celebrated.

Celebrate the Moments that Matter helps supporters celebrate a loved one with the purchase of a fun and light-hearted gift. This wonderful surprise has no delivery fee and is received in mere seconds. Ranging from a “Wish you were here” Postcard to a special “Homemade Birthday Cake,” there’s one suitable for every occasion!

The most exciting part of all, every gift donated will support sick kids in hospital and the healthcare heroes who care for them. Funds raised will help provide state-of-the-art equipment, life-changing research and world-class medical care for sick kids and their families.

My ‘Wish You Were Here’ postcard would go to my family in the UK… I wish they were here every single day but even more so at the moment. This photo is from a couple of years ago, standing outside the church my parents got married at, 45 years earlier.  It was very special visiting the church on their anniversary and sharing this moment with my mum, dad, my brothers, sister-in-laws and my gorgeous nieces and nephews.”
