1 million jars sold

11 June 2020

Thank you to everyone who has bought a jar of Coles Mum’s Sause – we just hit 1 million jars sold!! This means $500,000 has been raised to help sick kids in hospitals across Australia.

Created as part of the Curing Homesickness initiative launched last year, participating hospitals in every State and Territory receive 50 cents from every jar of Mum’s Sause sold. The money raised will help fund the latest state-of–the-art medical equipment, the brightest and best medical practitioners, the most cutting edge research as well as invest in programs such as music therapy and art programs to allow sick kids to be kids first, and patients second.

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation Chief Executive Officer Nicola Stokes said: “Curing Homesickness brings together hospitals from across Australia who are helping sick kids battle serious illnesses in a unique collaboration to raise much-needed funds. During this tough time for so many Australians, Coles Mum’s Sause offers a simple, affordable way to make a difference. This powerful little jar of pasta sauce continues to fund the vital care and support kids in hospital need to get home sooner.

“From the bottom of our hearts and on behalf of all the young patients who need our help, we thank all Coles team members and customers for their tremendous support in making Coles Mum’s Sause such a huge success and raising these much-needed funds.”

Coles Mum’s Sause is sold year-round at Coles online or Coles stores across Australia and can be found in the pasta sauce aisle. Mum’s Sause has a four-star health rating and has no added sugar, artificial colours or flavours – and the sauces are made in Australia from at least 98% of Australian ingredients.

Ms Stokes added: “We hope people continue enjoying Mum’s Sause as their preferred pasta sauce for pasta dishes, pizzas, tacos, nachos and so many more favourite dishes. It not only tastes good, it also does good!”
