Create a legacy for the future
Philanthropy is about thoughtful giving and making a conscious choice for investing in the greatest impact now and for future generations.
New research directions will deliver improved healthcare, more targeted treatment and ultimately the hope of prevention. But Australia faces major challenges in funding paediatric healthcare, due to rising costs and growth in demand.
Our Patron, Emeritus Professor Les White AM, has seen how past bequests have helped to deliver significant impact.
“As Patron of the Foundation I have the privilege and the opportunity to continue my work, and most importantly to help children and their families. I see children’s healthcare continuing to evolve, embracing scientific discovery, knowledge, innovation and new technology - always balancing that with compassion, caring and humanity.
“To make the world a better place we need to look after the health and wellbeing of our children. A gift in your Will to the Foundation is a contribution to everybody’s future.” - Emeritus Professor Les White AM.
Leaving a charitable gift in your Will

How do I leave a gift in my Will?
Having your Will up to date is the only way to give you peace of mind and to ensure your wishes will be understood and honoured. After you have cared for your family and friends, if you would like to leave an additional gift to Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, there are several ways you can include us in your Will:
- A residual gift: The remainder of your Estate after your loved ones have been cared for, or specific gifts have been disbursed
- A percentage gift: A percentage of either the residue or the entire estate
- A pecuniary gift: A specific sum of money
- An asset gift: Real estate, shares, bonds or other particular items of value
We have provided some wording suggestions for your convenience, however whatever you decide for your Will, we suggest you contact your solicitor to write a new Will or a Codicil (amendment) to your existing Will.
