Leaving a gift

When you leave a gift in your Will to Sydney Children's Hospital, you are making a special investment in the health care of children now and in the future. Gifts of this kind not only help to maintain and improve the standard of care at the Hospital, they save children’s lives.

There are a number of ways you can include Sydney Children’s Hospital in your Will:
 

• A specific dollar amount or a percentage of your Estate

• The residue of your Estate (the remainder after your bequests have been distributed) or a percentage of it

•  Property, shares, artwork and/or other capital assets
  

Be a Sunshine Guardian

If you decide to leave a gift in your Will to Sydney Children’s Hospital, you will be recognised as a Sunshine Guardian. This gives us the opportunity to thank you and your family, and to recognise and honour your support for our Hospital during your lifetime.

As a Sunshine Guardian, you will be honoured as one of a select group of like-minded supporters who have also advised us of their generous intentions to leave a gift to Sydney Children’s Hospital. You will be invited to attend events and activities along with other Guardians to ensure that you remain up to date with the latest developments at the Hospital.

If you wish to leave a gift in your Will to Sydney Children’s Hospital, we suggest the use of our official wording, which we can provide.

In Memoriam

During the sad time of losing a loved one, you can choose to celebrate their life by directing donations to Sydney Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers at the funeral. You can do this by:

1) Setting up your in memory webpage and follow the instructions to fundraise online

OR

2) Distributing donation envelopes to guests at the service or funeral home (please email us or call us on (02) 9382 1188 to let us know how many envelopes you need).

 

Your gifts in memory will make a difference to the lives of sick and injured children treated at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
